Your flight with China Southern Airlines starts at the check-in. Note that below information is applicable for our China Southern operated flights. For code-share flights operated by SkyTeam alliance partner KLM on the Amsterdam - China routing, and other China Southern international, regional or domestic flights other regulations may apply.
Amsterdam - China flights
At Schiphol International airport, KLM is handling the check-in procedure for China Southern. Passengers can already check-in starting the morning of the day of the flight. However, for our Amsterdam - China flights it is recommended to check-in at least two hours before departure. Check-in will usually close one hour before the scheduled departure time. Passengers arriving within less than one hour at the check-in desk can be refused to check-in.
For our Amsterdam - China CZ346 & CZ308 flights online check-in is not possible. This is also not possible for groups. At the airport, you can use the check-in desks, but you can also use the self-service check-in machines, with skilled KLM and CZ personnel present to help you on your way. When using the self-service check-in machines, follow the following procedure:
- Insert your passport
- Choose your flight
- Select your seat
- Print your boarding pass
- Drop your luggage at the nearest luggage drop-off point (normally will close one hour before departure). Note that luggage is normally not automatically transferred to any possible add-on destination (with exception of Sydney i.c.w. CZ308/CZ307 flight numbers. See "Luggage" tab for more information)
- You can now proceed through customs to the gate used for departure
China - Amsterdam flights
For most of our other China flights phone or online seat preference request is possible. Contact our 24-hours hotline (see contact), check www.csair.com for the possibilities or contact your agent or China Southern booking office.
For China - Amsterdam flights, due to immigration and security check, it is advisable to check-in at least three hours before departure. Check-in will usually close one hour before departure time. Passengers arriving within less than one hour at the check-in desk can be refused to check-in.
Overseas visitors should present a valid passport, visa, exit registration card and boarding pass to exit China within the period designated on the valid entry visa. Chinese citizens (including Hong Kong & Macao residents) should present a valid passport, visa (when applicable), exit registration card and boarding pass. If you hold an immigration certificate, present on time to check validity.
